Hype Machine, the mp3 blog aggregator, is funny! For April Fool’s Day, they put up a page (which would be here if it’s still up) announcing Hype Machine 2.0. It pointed to strategic partnerships with, among others, google, the FBI and the NSA. They also said:

Our partnerships allow us to accurately measure the users’ responses to such recommendations, greatly improving our future suggestions. Combining this information with financial histories, credit scores and medical records adds an unprecedented level of depth to the social networking component of the service. Additionally, information in your profiles at other social sites such as Last.fm, MySpace, iLike, Pandora, FineTune and others will be included in our recommendations.
