noise pop announces first confirmed acts
I love Noise Pop. Seeing lots of great bands in clubs is much more my style than that other festival.
We already knew the Magnetic Fields are playing Noise Pop 2008 (aka Noise Pop 16), but now the Noise Pop people have announced more acts. Besides MFs, there’s the Mountain Goats, Gutter Twins and Cursive. Still a paltry number of the total (~100 acts) but it’s a start.
Noise Pop 16 is running from Feb 26-March 2, 2008. I’m looking forward to see what the rest of the roster has to offer.
Hmmm, I might have to make my way up to the Bay Area for this. Maybe I can convince Pitchfork to let me help them cover it?
If you can work it out, I’d recommend it. There are usually a bunch of bands worth seeing.
