I got some new music from long-time ipickmynose fav[1] Fionn Regan (myspace) the other day. It’s off of an apparently UK-only EP called Campaign Buttons. My particular favorite, I’d actually heard on the Live at the BCC session as well.

The whole EP was apparently extra material from the End of History sessions. “Campaign Button” itself appears on that album as the secret track at the end of the album, on the same track as “Bunker or Basement”.

“The Ballad of the Toad Eaters” is classic Fionn–great fingerpicked guitar parts and vocal melodies. Just good stuff all around.

[1] If you don’t know Fionn, check him out. He’s the artist that I’ve learned about in last two years that I’ve liked most and told the most people about. I feel like I’ve mentioned that a lot here at ipmn so I’m giving the brief form of the introduction today.
