earbud recommendations?

I have headphones I like at work and at home but there are those in-between times and when I’m just walking around that I use earbuds.

Anyone have recommendations for ear buds they really like?

I tend to like the in-canal types over the ones the just rest outside the canal.

Currently I use ones I got for < $6 in Taiwan. They were replacements for another pair that broke while I was there. They’re better than those crappy standard Apple ear buds, though…

Previously I have used Sony MDR-EX71SLs and they were pretty decent. I didn’t like that the cable was about a foot too short for me to put it in my pocket.

I’ve heard good things about the Shure ear buds but, like I said, I have those nice headphones at home if I want high quality (and high price).

http://www.ultimatebuds.com/store/product.php?productid=16134&cat=0&page=1&featured. they come with 2 sizes of foam tips and 2 or 3 sizes of the rubbery ones. i have em and couldn’t ask for better sound or fit from earbuds.

Every once in awhile you can find some Shure buds on amazon discounted for $75. I use those when traveling and I have some plantronics P590 for work and home - they aren’t buds but they are really comfy. They are also wireless, so you can walk away from your computer without ripping your ear canal.

They are also nice if you need to take a dump. You don’t need to carry your laptop to the toilet with you :)
