I feel pretty lucky that I’ve already had a pretty great run this year of bands coming down and doing sessions at KZSU (links to all the write-ups below) and I’m pleased to announced another two:

• August 13: Birdmonster

  Winterbirds - Perfect People (mp3)
  

Both of these sets are on Wednesdays from 9-10pm Pacific. You can listen live on KZSU 90.1 FM or online.

Birdmonster is an eclectic rock band. Some songs are straight-up rock and some are upbeat and folky but the common thread in many of them are catchy melodies.

Winterbirds kick it slow, old-school. They take after some of my favorites of the genre: Low and Pedro the Lion. They write pretty, often sparse slow songs.
