record man parking lot sale this weekend

Record Man in Redwood City, whose selection of vinyl I was impressed with last time I went is having their parking lot sale this weekend, September 20 and 21 starting at 8am both days. Though it’s normally a bit (or a lot) expensive and I’ve heard complaints about customer service, both of those should be mitigated by this weekend’s format: 35000 records at a dollar a pop out in the parking lot for your perusal.

Their annoucement after the jump:

Hey everybody it’s “Record-Palooza-time” in Redwood City! That’s right, the waiting is over! The Record Man Parking Lot Sale is upon us!
Be sure to mark your calendar, September 20-21. BE THERE! You snooze you lose.
We will be starting at 8 a.m. both days. If you can’t be there early “don’t sweat it!” We have over 500 boxes of LP’s to choose from…approx. 35,000 records! Believe me, there will be “good stuff” all weekend long!
We have all categories of music – Rock, soul, jazz, EZ, country, folk, classical, soundtrax, blues, reggae, etc. The records are broken down by category and placed on tables under shaded awnings for easy access and comfort.
The records are $1 a disc, doubles $2 and triples and box sets $3.
This year we are adding almost 10,000 compacts discs at $1 each! Also, we will have a good selection of dvd’s!
There will be no parking in The Record Man parking lot. There is plenty of parking across the street on Diller St. and Franklin St. Also, around the corner there should be parking.
We will be accepting all major credit cards and debit cards.
Again, the sale starts @ 8am sharp! There will be no early birds or sneak previews.
Again, mark your calendar!
Refreshments will be provided by THE SAXON TWINS
