Silian Rail at the Bottom of the Hill a few weeks ago

No one has officially declared it as free music Friday, but it seems to be going that way:

• David Bazan @ Lower Sproul Plaza, UC Berkeley, noon — as mentioned previously
• Silian Rail, Schande @ The Uptown. 9pm, no cover before 9 — includes recently featured Silian Rail and Schande, a band I’ve heard plenty of good about.
• The Botticellis, Minipop, Birds & Batteries @ The Independent. 9pm — Three solid bands at the Independent.

Yay for free music.
