Oh No! Oh My! + many many others play SF Popfest this weekend

SF Popfest which runs this Thursday through Sunday is in its inaugural year. I’m all for more grass roots festivals and people doing cool stuff without the benefit of the Livenations of the world.

I’m even more for good bands playing good bills. One such bill is Thursday’s show at the Rickshaw with Suburban Kids with Biblical Names, locals Still Flyin’, Oh No Oh My and Swede Pelle Carlberg. I’ve seen Oh No Oh My (myspace) a few times now. I think it was the second time that I realized I was bound to always enjoy their shows: they have good songs and play well. There’s not a lot not to like. The rest of the bands on that bill aren’t too shabby either.

Oh No Oh My – Oh Be One

Bad news for Hidden Cameras fans, but good news for Botticellis fans: Hidden Cameras had to be dropped off of the bill for Sunday’s show, but the Botticellis have stepped up to fill in. That’s another good bill, there.
